*Lesson 6- Typography Examples*
Good Example
File Name- GoodExample
Source of Example- http://visionwidget.com/showcase/graphics/293-creative-typography.html
Elements of Design Exhibited- The designer may have used a gradient for the background, some blending attributes, such as: Blur, Dodge, Clone Stamp, and many others, Rotation of Text, and many other tools.
Why Item is Effective- The type is very attractive, as well as the amazing design interlaced within the text. I want to be as good at Photoshop as this designer is!!
Target Audience- This seems like the focus would be for the younger audience, such as teenagers and young adults.
Bad Example
File Name- BadExample
Source of Example- http://behance.vo.llnwd.net/profiles/53318/projects/92669/533181210951125.jpg
Elements of Design Exhibited- Looks like the designer used the Blur tool, the Text option… and that is about it.
Why Item is Ineffective- The design just looks ‘blah’…. I think I like color… the words are to smudged looking and there is no flavor…
Target Audience- No one. Well, maybe they were going for the up and coming audience. This would be a great example for bad typography for a college course.
